The Great Nonprofit Challenge

Holding the world in palm of your handAt Nonprofit I.Q., we believe that if we are going to see positive, lasting change in our communities, country and the world, it is our nonprofits who are best positioned to lead the charge. It’s clear that we can no longer wait on our government or our corporations to fix the massive problems that plague our communities and the world.

Our charitable nonprofits are amazing! Amongst many other things, they improve people’s health and well-being; they help feed and clothe the poor; they clean up our environment; they help our troubled and vulnerable young people grow up to be happy, educated, productive citizens; they improve our communities with beautiful art and music; they help employ those who have difficulty finding jobs, they help those who’ve been traumatized find peace; and they cultivate a more socially just world.

The challenge is that the vast majority of our nonprofits are just scraping by and are not currently positioned for sustainable success. We see this evidenced by chronic funding challenges, overwhelmed or burned out leaders and staff and by disengaged boards. And then there are the nonprofits who can sustain their existing programs and services, but are unable to scale up to serve their community’s growing and changing needs.

In order to make a lasting difference and serve their people and communities in the way that actually solves big problems, our nonprofit leaders need to understand how to attract, engage and inspire the right people, the right partners and the right funders to not only sustain, but also to grow with the everchanging needs of our modern world.

This is a tough challenge, but rest assured, there IS hope!

Empowering Our Nonprofits

smart solutions for sustainable successNonprofit I.Q. was conceived to help nonprofit leaders create more efficient, effective and fundable organizations that are powerfully positioned for ongoing success and sustainability.

Our programs guide and coach busy leaders of small to mid-sized nonprofits, helping them optimize their potential to provide the greatest benefit to your constituents or community.

lighthouseNonprofit I.Q. is a guiding beacon for small to mid-sized nonprofits that so often struggle to fund their existing programs and services or that are getting by just fine, but are ready to grow their organization in a truly sustainable way so they can serve their constituents or community to the capacity that they’re truly needed.

Through Nonprofit I.Q.’s information, training and tools, Shelley Milne helps nonprofit leaders identify obstacles to success, optimize their teams and develop strategies and an action plan to get from where they are now to where they want to be as an organization in the next several years…and balance their professional and personal lives so they develop (or redevelop) their passion and drive for this exciting journey.

Healthy, Sustainable Nonprofits Step-by-Step

We’re not satisfied with nonprofits just scraping by from year-to-year or even from month-to-month. If we’re to make the big changes needed, we must help our nonprofits improve their infrastructures and create strategies for sustainable change. To this end, Nonprofit I.Q helps small to mid-sized nonprofits:

  • Develop powerful leaders who balance their work and personal lives
  • Identify smart, simple solutions to their challenges to propel them toward their goals
  • Attract the right partners and resources to help them succeed and thrive
  • Create healthy organizations by making lasting improvements to become increasingly successful long-term

Quite simply, Nonprofit I.Q. help nonprofits do what they do better and more powerfully. We have some free resources for those who may only need some quick tips from the best experts in the field and we also have various tools and trainings available for purchase for those nonprofit leaders that can benefit from our step-by-step process to improve your nonprofit’s “fundability” and truly position their organizations for sustainable success. Giving Back to Our Nonprofits

Nonprofit I.Q. was developed as a social enterprise company, donating 25% of its profits back to the nonprofit community through a competitive grant process for clients and customers who can best articulate just how the information, training, and tools they’ve learned through us and our experts have improved their organizations’ efficiency, effectiveness, and/or fundability, and how they are positioning their nonprofits for ongoing success and sustainability.
